Delete your Visor account or data

You can delete your entire account or request deletion of specific data while keeping your account. Email requests are available even if you no longer have the app.

Request account deletion by email

  1. Email support@visor.so with the subject Delete my Visor account.
  2. Include the email address associated with your Visor account and state that you want your account and associated data deleted. Send the request from that address if you still have access to it.
  3. We may ask you to verify ownership before processing the request. Do not send a password, sign-in link, or verification code.

Delete specific data without deleting your account

  1. Email support@visor.so with the subject Delete specific Visor data.
  2. Include the email address associated with your Visor account, specify the data you want deleted (such as chats, projects, listening history, or search history), and state that you want to keep your account. Send the request from your account email address if you still have access to it.
  3. We may ask you to verify ownership before processing the request. Do not send a password, sign-in link, or verification code.

This request keeps your account and data outside the requested scope. It does not cancel your subscription or reset usage limits. The retention exceptions below also apply to requests to delete specific data.

Delete your account in the app

  1. Open Visor and sign in to the account you want to delete.
  2. Open Settings, then select Security.
  3. Under Account, choose Delete account.
  4. Type delete account and confirm. If prompted, sign in again to verify that the account belongs to you.

Account deletion is permanent. If you cannot sign in or complete these steps, use the email request option above.

What gets deleted

Account deletion removes the following account-linked data from Visor's active systems, subject to the limited retention exceptions in Data retention and exceptions:

  • Your sign-in account and profile assets.
  • Your chats, messages, projects, and personalized recommendations.
  • Your saved podcasts and episodes, follows, listening history, and search history.
  • Your preferences, device sessions, notification history, and push notification tokens.
  • Your account-linked requests, reports, and subscription entitlement records stored by Visor.

Public podcast episodes, artwork, and transcripts are shared catalog content and are not deleted when an individual account is deleted.

Data retention and exceptions

The in-app deletion process removes the account data listed above when it completes; there is no additional waiting period for that data in Visor's active systems, except for the records described below. Email requests require ownership verification and processing by support.

As described in our Privacy Policy, limited system logs may be retained for security and troubleshooting, and billing records may be retained to meet tax, accounting, or other legal obligations. Retention periods for these records vary by the type of record and the applicable requirement; there is no single fixed retention period for all retained records.

We may retain limited account identifiers, account creation and deletion records, and usage-limit or abuse-prevention records when necessary to prevent fraud, protect the service, or enforce usage limits.

Records retained for these purposes are limited to what is needed and kept only for as long as necessary for security, abuse prevention, or the applicable legal obligation.

Purchase records held by Apple, Google Play, or our payment service providers are subject to their retention requirements and are not erased by deleting your Visor account. Contact support@visor.so if you need details about records retained for your account or want to request deletion of associated data held by our service providers.

Cancel your subscription separately

Deleting your Visor account does not cancel an App Store or Google Play subscription. To stop future renewals, cancel through the store where you subscribed before deleting your account:
